FEMME
From the Paris catwalks, to the office boardroom, South Australian choreographer/performer, Erin Fowler, presents FEMME, a deeply personal work that explores the stereotypes of femininity through movement, dance, sound and text. Drawing on Erin’s own experience as an international fashion model, businesswoman, and dancer FEMME takes audiences on an intimate journey through the many faces and lived experiences of female identity.
Winner of Best Dance Adelaide Fringe 2019, and the prestigious Made in Adelaide award in the 2020 Adelaide Fringe, FEMME explores concepts of femininity and female sexuality, the female body, the gender roles we conform to, or break against and what it means to be powerful in a largely masculine dominant culture.
