Is history linear or cyclical? Can we learn from the past and change our futures, or are we forever repeating ourselves?

EPOCH, choreographed by Erin Fowler on the sublime Australian Dance Theatre for the 2016 Ignition season is in development to be extended into a full length work with a cast of Australian independent dancers.

EPOCH explores the concept of time and history. Time is our one constant and – much like dance - is only ever in the moment, a continuum unfolding. Our histories, both personal and global, are constructed through the reconstructions, the reinterpretations, the unavoidably biased retelling of these moments.
